Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 25 August 2026 · Applies to all AutomateX360 subscriptions, including the $35/month managed website plan
The short version. You commit to two months ($70 USD). You can cancel any time after that, effective at the end of your current billing month. If you change your mind within 7 days of subscribing and we have not yet delivered your site for review, you get a full refund. After that, monthly fees already paid are not refundable, because the work has been done. Your domain and your content always stay yours.

1. How billing works
- The managed website plan is $35 per month, in US dollars, charged automatically to the payment method you provide.
- Your first charge happens when you subscribe, not when your website goes live. The build starts on the strength of that payment — that is what replaces an upfront development fee.
- Every following charge falls on the same date each month until you cancel.
- Subscriptions renew automatically. We do not send a reminder before each routine monthly charge; your renewal date is on every receipt.
- Prices exclude any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies where you are.
2. 7-day cooling-off period
If you subscribe and then change your mind, email us within 7 calendar days of your first payment. If we have not yet sent your website for review, we refund your first $35 in full and cancel the subscription with nothing further owed.
If we have already sent your site for review inside those 7 days, the build work has been delivered and the cooling-off refund no longer applies — but you can still cancel future renewals under section 3. We will tell you clearly which situation applies when you write to us.
3. The two-month minimum term
The plan carries a two-month minimum term — two payments of $35, $70 total. After the second payment the plan runs month-to-month with no further commitment.
Why it exists. There is no upfront development fee. Designing and building a five-page website is real work that we do before we have been paid for it, and the subscription is how that cost is recovered. Two months is the shortest term that makes a no-upfront-fee offer viable. We would rather state this plainly on the page you buy from than surprise you with it at cancellation.
Cancelling during the minimum term stops your subscription from renewing beyond it, but the second payment remains due. Outside the cooling-off period we do not waive it.
4. How to cancel
- Email growth@lc.automatex360.com from the address on your account, with "Cancel subscription" in the subject line. A cancellation link in your billing portal works too, where one is available.
- You do not have to give a reason, sit through a retention call, or use any special form. One email is enough.
- We confirm in writing within two business days. If you have not heard back by then, follow up — a cancellation is only effective once we have acknowledged it, and we do not want an unread email to cost you a month.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing month. Your website stays live and supported until that date. We do not pro-rate part-months, and we do not charge a cancellation fee.
To avoid being charged for another month, cancel at least 48 hours before your renewal date. That gives our billing system time to process it.
5. When we refund
| Situation | What you get |
|---|---|
| You cancel within 7 days of subscribing and we have not yet sent your site for review | Full refund of your first payment |
| We are unable to deliver your website at all — for example we cannot take on your project after reviewing it | Full refund of everything paid |
| You were charged twice for the same month, or charged after we confirmed your cancellation | Full refund of the incorrect charge |
| We discontinue the plan and cannot deliver a period you have already paid for | Pro-rata refund of the undelivered period |
| Your site was offline for an extended period because of a failure on our side, not yours | Credit or partial refund, assessed case by case |
6. When we don't refund
Monthly fees pay for work that has already been carried out — design, build, hosting, maintenance and support for that month. Once a month has been served, its fee is not refundable. Specifically, we do not refund:
- Months that have already been delivered, whether or not you used your included updates.
- The second payment inside the two-month minimum term, once the cooling-off period has passed.
- Part-months when you cancel mid-cycle — you keep the service to the end of the period instead.
- Situations where you did not supply the content we asked for, so the site could not be finished. Billing continues; the work is waiting on you and we will keep the project open.
- Dissatisfaction with design choices where you approved the site at review stage, or declined to give feedback within the 14-day review window in our Terms.
- Business results — traffic, rankings, enquiries or sales. We do not guarantee outcomes and we say so plainly in our Terms.
- Domain registration fees, which are paid to a registrar and not to us.
- Separately quoted work — extra pages, integrations, migrations — once it has been delivered and approved.
- Accounts terminated by us for breach of the acceptable use rules in our Terms.
If your situation is not in either list and you think you have been treated unfairly, write to us anyway. We would rather look at it than have you dispute a charge.
7. After you cancel
- Your website goes offline at the end of your final paid month. Hosting is part of the subscription, so it ends when the subscription does.
- Your domain stays yours. It is registered in your name, we never hold it, and you can point it wherever you like — including in a dispute.
- Your content stays yours. Ask within 30 days and we will send you an export of the content you supplied and the text and images published on your site, free of charge.
- A full site export or migration to another host is available as a paid service, quoted on request. It is not part of the plan, because the plan price assumes we host the site.
- After 30 days we may permanently delete your site files and backups. Request your export before then.
- Resubscribing within 30 days usually restores the site as it was. Later than that, a rebuild may be needed and a new minimum term applies.
8. How refunds are processed
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method — we cannot send them anywhere else. We process them within 5 business days of approval. Your bank or card issuer then takes its own time, typically a further 5 to 10 business days, before the money appears on your statement. Currency conversion or foreign transaction fees charged by your bank are outside our control and are not refunded by us.
9. Disputes and chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, email us before contacting your bank. Almost every billing dispute is a misunderstanding about the renewal date or the minimum term, and we can usually resolve it the same day.
Raising a chargeback without contacting us first triggers an automatic account suspension while the dispute runs, and we will submit these Terms, your order record and our correspondence as evidence. If a chargeback is filed for a charge we are entitled to, we may recover it and any associated fees, and we may decline to work with you in future. This is not us being difficult — chargebacks put payment processing at risk for every customer we serve.
10. Statutory consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law where you live.
- UK and EU. Consumers ordinarily have a 14-day right to cancel a distance contract. Where you ask us to begin work immediately, that right is reduced in proportion to the service already supplied, and is lost once the service has been fully performed with your prior agreement. Our 7-day full-refund window above is offered in addition to, not instead of, any statutory right you have.
- Australia. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including remedies for a major failure and compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss.
- Canada and the United States. Consumer protection and automatic-renewal rules vary by province and state, and where they give you a stronger right than this policy, that right applies.
Most of our customers buy as a business rather than as a consumer, in which case these particular protections may not apply — but the terms above stand either way.
